  2. I wish I saw comments like this a few months ago, I took up a new CP designing project for my sales and entrepreneurship class, I would have done a mask instead.
  3. I should inquire about where to ship my glove, then you could do the bill later magazine thing.
  4. 2 notes, yes most under armor catchers gear you see in the pros is really allstar(ua has some gear of their own but most of the pro stuff is all star) and also Aj Ellis uses wilson catchers gear.
  5. You have no authority or jurisdiction over fans or outside the field of play. None, zero. If you think you do, you are simply making up rules. Seeing this debate makes me happy that I have authority outside the playing field because we wrote that directly into our leagues rules. In all leagues(but one small one I work with) around here umpires are granted complete jurisdiction over spectators and the area outside the playing field. I feel bad for those who aren't granted these powers its important that you have powers over spectators otherwise who is in charge of them other than coaches? Can they really control fans or more importantly do they? There might not be rules support universally but thats a rule that should exist.
  6. If they don't make a shoe that fits her she could try the footguards Douglas makes, mostly for players but they could work.
  7. This isn't the same one? http://umpire-empire.com/index.php/topic/59313-all-star-umpire-mask-with-wilson-tan-pads-for-sale/#entry239881 I'm going to ask a Moderator to lock or delete this entire post. Jay (Umpref19) should be cited, and he owes @basejester an apology.. I would second that motion
  8. If you do measure carefully, if you have to return them you're subject to a potential "25% restocking fee". Just keep that in mind, you might want to go thru UA to avoid that.(I think the fee only applies to buying from Douglas itself).
  9. Is that CP metal? No that's what I thought at first too, its a plastic with a metal appearance which is why it looks so awesome. Their shin guards look even more metal like, its a really cool look.
  10. Just got done a 8/9 Yearold game, had a 3 minute delay when a player got into a standoff with his coach because he refused to wear a hat. I tried to hurry it up but the coach wanted to handle it eventually benching the player. Weirdist moment in one of my games.

  11. Yep thats true, Its a big expense though so I'm waiting a bit until I can get away with buying another CP. Only time I regreted buying the best was my wilson CP just too tiny.
  12. I will, although if its over $60 I probably will just continue to save up for a Douglas.
  13. Where can I get this thing? I kind of want to try it out.
  14. The old one got some criticism for the size and placement of plates so this vary well could be a "2.0" of that one not a completly new model, I like it though I'll say that.
  15. Ok my bad, the name you posted is also of their old hardshell but that picture isn't their old one so your right thats new, my apologies I only had the name when I said it wasn't new.
  16. I think this has been out for awhile if I'm correct.
  17. Yep not titanium, he had listed this before with other pads and advertised it as steel.
  18. I don't like the ejection here, but I thought we were suppose to walk away from a coach after an ejection, am I wrong about that? Walk away, with a purpose and direction? Yes. If it's during gameplay, though, you have a game to get back to. Return to your position, or if your position is where you are standing, stand your ground. This, too, means that the ejectee has traveled out _to_ you. The important thing is to get the game resumed and back on track.Ok thanks for clearing that up, never had to deal with it yet but its important to know.
  19. I work 2 saturday, I hope it goes better then my last double header we had to call it after one my partner was PU for game one and nearly had a heat stroke meanwhile several players were getting sick as well so we postponed game 2 because in PA 95 degree heat isn't normal this time of year so that game will be played on a cooler day.
  20. I don't like the ejection here, but I thought we were suppose to walk away from a coach after an ejection, am I wrong about that?
  21. Yea really, selling takes time. It took a month to sell my west vest, "patience young padawan, patience".
  22. Nope, it got relisted I think the $510 didn't meet the reserve.
  23. I like it, wish it came to market sooner though.
  24. Insanity!! If I could afford that thing I would buy it before you could blink!!! Just to wear a Carlucci would be the privilege of a lifetime!!!!
