6-1/8 to 7 1/8 but it really goes a bit bigger than the listed size, I'm 7 1/4 and it fits ok would fit me if I broke it in, I just don't need it too wrapped up in my MVP. Also if you have a silver frame you would want to trade we could do that instead of $$ -
Too bad this isn't really gonna happen. 9 inning OBR no mods. 3 man crew(Myself, Jim Joyce and Jeff Nelson). 7:30 game time, field has lights. Rob Thomas does the national anthem. Flyover by 3 fighter planes, followed by a cargo plane where a skydivier delivers the game balls. First pitch thrown by a local person of importance. Gear: All Star MVP helmet(2500 or 4000 at my level they are equal), Custom 17 inch Douglas with gap protection and delta flex and t-hooks, Honigs K10 Shin Guards, Reebok Field Magestrate Plate Shoes, Light Blue Smitty Shirts, Charcol Honigs PW pants, and Plus POS ball bags with Scrapper Brush. 7th Inning Stretch, The Fray does a rock version "Take Me Out to The Ball Game". Post Game meal(gotta eat after a big game) catered by Texas Road House, Ruby Tuesday's, Martins, IBC, and Macks. Post Game Fireworks and Laser Light Show. PA Announcer would be Charlie Rose(news guy), Broadcast crew would be Gary Thorne, Mike Bordick, and Laz Diaz.

Its kind of cool right? I know its not like a Power or something but its still kind of cool. -
I found this on ebay, its next to useless but might interest umpires who follow pro guys, I can't believe that this is being sold as a set. I'm guessing it goes for over $500 in the end. http://m.ebay.com/itm/321486410627?nav=SEARCH

BRAND NEW Honigs Pro mask with TW
BaltimoreUmpire replied to the_umpire's topic in Buy, Sell or Trade
I thought it could be a different one they no longer sell. My bad. -
Some local rule codes do call for an out for a thrown bat (they do not want umpires ejecting Johnny Batslinger). Do you call it the way the facility wants it to be called or call it the way the rules purist wants it called. Or is the solution to throw the baby out with the bath water and not accept games with such a rule.If by that last part you mean don't take games with an out for throwing/slinging the bat rule that would leave you almost out of work here, only 1 league doesn't have such a rule.(I know you probably were joking though).

BRAND NEW Honigs Pro mask with TW
BaltimoreUmpire replied to the_umpire's topic in Buy, Sell or Trade
What color frame and pads? Do you have a picture? That might help sell it of you post one. -
True. I have never given the hook for this infraction or told the coach his player was "ejected". Just that he was removed from the game. Here its not a myth its a rule in 99% of the leagues add in a rule that it is an out. There is a special place in hell for local rules. Damn them all.I get what you mean, although here anything not in the OBR code is a "local rule" given we are independent of a national or state organization. So technically our inning limit, our time limit, our field sizes are all local rules.

Just clarify this isn't intentional bat throwing, this is accidental after hitting the ball into play I'm adding this to clarify this situation not sure if it changes anything .

My league uses OBR with some ammendments. Unlike most leagues I have worked for they do not have an ammendment that says throwing the bat is an out, my question is this: Is there an OBR rule that says throwing the bat is an out? I didn't see one but maybe I missed it. I had a kid throw a bat in this league it hit nobody(if it had I would have called him out because of safety) but the DHC was whining that it should be an out, I said that this league lacks that amendment. Am I correct that OBR itself has no rule on this?

Ok thanks, i was on mobile at the time that why I asked.

The 4000 will look great in Tony's matt black. Can't wait to see it. I believe there's 2 other 4000's in matte black somewhere in this thread! Mine isn't one of them, but my FM4000 is going to MaskIt to get a color treatment I will discuss and develop with Tony – "Blued Steel". This mask is my Navy-trim mask (for games where our shirt color is Navy, Powder, Red (with Navy), or White), and already has a navy-blue harness and tan TWs. The silver paint All-Star put on these masks wears off _way_ too fast. My Easton Speed Elite is my Black-trim mask, for games wherein... you guessed it, we wear black-trim shirts. Hereto, the silver paint has wore off and I'll be sending that in (eventually) to get Bright Silver put on it. At the top of my wish / gear-lust list is a Nike Titanium or Nike Non-Retail Steel (can we start calling it the NRS?). If it's an NRS needing some TLC, I'll send it off to MaskIt for that same gunmetal color treatment that @mbkcoach did to his. I'll even get two sets of TW pads – one black, one tan – just to interchange them as the mood hits me. @GreyhoundAggie – As a former catcher, my take is that double-wire is for catchers, single-wire for umpires. Because the catcher is _that_ much closer to the batter than the umpire (and typically has his face in the strike zone), the double-wire is added reinforcement against repeated impacts. More modern masks, though, have been abandoning double-wire altogether – Nike (Steel and Titanium), Rawlings (Titanium only), Wilson (Steel and Titanium), Easton (Steel) and All-Star (Steel). Oddly, the vaunted Diamond iX3 for catchers is still double-wire (Umpire version is single-wire with extended crown guard), and the All-Star Titanium is double-wire (the only titanium to do so). When it comes to color scheme, my perspective comes from 16 years as a catcher and several as a hockey goaltender – live it up, and make your own style (within professional reason!). As long as it's not garishly odd (should match or complement your trim, and shouldn't be red, or orange, or purple or green), then any tones (light grey thru silver thru black) I think work on a cage (including that gold one our fellow U-E umpire debuted!), along with any of the "natural" pad colors (tan thru brown thru grey thru black). I was watching my beloved Brewers the other night, and the (young) MLB umpire had a black Wilson Dynalite with _grey_ pads. Neat look. Oh, and @mbkcoach, one more thing... If I can't find / acquire a Nike NRS or Ti by next year, I'll "cave" and "settle" and get the +POS ZRO-G. Looks _almost_ the same. You want an NRS? Mbk has one for sale http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nike-Steel-Nonretail-Catcher-Mask-Black-MLB-Umpire-RARE-Powder-Coated-Gun-Metal-/121403036652?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c442f53ec
