One of this leagues teams is really close to here, quality baseball alot of the players move into and/or been in affiliated ball, but in the leagues history 3 of their umpires have moved into affiliated ball, not much advancement for their umpires its said to be a thankless job ourside of the pay, id love to find out who they hire from though

is it a balk to pick off from the windup? Pitcher was a lefty lifted leg turned and threw to first, got the runner off the bag, i didn't balk him because I had never seen anything like this, at all

Does anyone else help out at the park when not umpiring?

sounds like a recipe for disaster, i only do "non umpire tasks" on days i have no games, can't let them see you as "one of the guys" then try to be in charge -

Thats possible but I think I read that happened before and the MLB hired a private delivery company to transport the Umpires gear -
I understand, no offense taken, I stand by what I said though my source is solid

Now the best are shin guards, you can "clap" them on the guys head from both sides, also your first strike is the groin, then as the attacker falls the eyes, then strike the neck with an elbow pump, boom attacker disabled, again sorry for the tangent -

I think you're being tongue-in-cheek, but in all seriousness, a regular mask would generally be a better offensive weapon.Yea im mostly kidding, but a mask is a great hand held weapon but the HSM is better as a projectile, you toss it and can it gives you a chance to attack back, either way this story is tragic sorry to turn it into a gear weaponization session -
Coldplay and Daughtry. I think we're done here.Best music in the world, although alot of it is really sad tones

Thats why you gotta know how to protect yourself, HSM users have an advantage as it is a superior projectile to the traditional mask, I also know how to completly disable an attacker in a few strikes -
I say "ball low" "ball inside" etc because i do 10u and 12u at those ages the pitches are still learning and if the coach has an idea of where his pitchers are missing maybe he can figure out if something is mechanically wrong with his pitcher which means more strikes, which is a good thing, at higher levels i wouldn't do this the pitchers know how to pitch so its useless, so really it depends on what level your doing

Its not allstar if thats what you mean, and im sure a gear impared person would but this wilson gear if someone told them it was west vest gear

I will comment that you should think twice before buying this CP I have inside info that a "smaller" company will be coming out with 2 more cp's in the near future
Yes. Do you know the difference?...Middle bar is rounded down as compared to straight across.
I'm not sure I see what you're talking about?
I wore my non retail steel Nike last weekend and thought it felt very heavy compared to my all star FM 25if you think thats heavy try wearing an fm25 then a rawling LMXW, that nike will feel light as a feather then -
Yea, I'd have to agree, I got enough info to make an informed decision

They are fine. If you normally wear an XL on bases you can get away with wearing a large.Yea i wear an XL it works for both, ill probably stick with smitty shirts if it aint broke dont fix it
-
Question smitty shirts are good though right? Color wise they match right? I like the feel so i might sticj with that brand assuming color works
-
Why is it I always forget about Davis's when im searching sites
-
Can't stand combo pants. They look like plate pants on the bases. So, no. Spend the little extra money and get the poly wools from Honigs. Much better than the ones from Smitty and will last a long time. It will probably cost you a game fee for the difference. Remember, this is an investment. Spend your money wisely. I've seen people go cheap and it doesn't look good. They get cheap shirts from somewhere, thinking they got a bargain, and the shirts don't match any other's colors. Look the part. Show pride in your uniforms. Not a good answer. One plate, one base.Smitty shirts are good right? They don't cost much but i like the 2 i have, they do match most colors well right? I have a Smitty shirt and I much prefer the Honig's shirts to the Smitty's. If you can, I suggest waiting until the black Friday deals and stocking up on Honig's shirts and Polywools, trust me you will not regret it, even if it hurts the bank.I'll be sure to do so, hard for buying umpire stuff to hurt the bank, its better to buy it now(assuming it lasts) before i have other expenses later in life
