Real Umpire Pants, same as above just 3 games left this year so I wouldnt need them yet anyways but will add them by spring 2015 3. Plate Coat but just not a luxary worth having for a 14U travel ball ump, but someday I will be getting one

Second dumbest gear idea I have seen, doesn't beat my one buddy/umpire partner who was also an auto mechanic and put undeployed airbags on his shin guards that would deploy on impact of a ball and protect him, sadly for him it knocked over a catcher in his first game using them, funniest thing I have seen on a ball field lucky to be in "B slot" because i had a great view of that incident luckily everyone was fine, And yes he used these in a game, likely the worst ump i ever worked with

I use HSM's exclusively but I will say that looks really cool, love the flag its a nice touch, if you were a catcher you would be in a jam because you'd have to burn your mask if you droped it

If I didnt just buy a new wilson i would have made an offer, at this point all I could offer would be an insultingly low sum of money, I donhave to ask a) Did you tighten the helmet, as unlike masks HSM's should be tight, b) Ballpark of what you want for it

im not gonna comment on the op, but I will say on TW pads that I toyed around with an HSM I no longer used and put some TW's I bought that were for military type helmets into it and put a TW chin pad in the front from their normal "UMPS" pad set it actually wasn't too ugly looking, my buddy owned a batting cage place so we took it down there put it on a dummy head and let the pitching machine hit it a few times, held up well but of course it never saw game use as I don't intend to use my mad science project as protective gear, but the idea of TW's in a HSM isn't as dumb as a ballon cp or suspenders

Hi, I am new here, my name is James. I am from the PA(my name is because i am an Orioles fan) I have worked 12U and 10U ball for 5 years now and have lurked here for about 2 years, I will likley be on here alot as I have found this site to be a great resource to better myself as an umpire, forgive me if I seem "not bright" in terms if specific umpire knowledge as I am here to learn, I am also a huge "gearhead" I love talking umpire gear, well thats longer than just "hello" but it should suffice.
