It seems that the coaches will try to twist things to their liking all the time. Surely not a new tactic by any means! I like when they ask for help......many times it's like....Hey...will you make a fool out of your partner for me to watch? I always say to the head coach, what do you want to appeal. That's were you get many of them because they don't know how to answer the question!

They seem to have many games. I like doing 3 games a day but it seems they want you to do at least 4 games. I did 4 each day this past weekend and it was really tough with the hot & humid weather.

Can of worms with cry baby coaches. It's a Balk....I called a walk off balk a few weeks ago. The losing coach has been around for years. His comment to his team was "That's a tough way to lose but it was a balk!". He's a good coach & a gentlemen which has earned him the respect he deserves. It's a shame how some rats lead young men. Then the young men think that it is ok to act like the rat.

I wear combos for HS games and tourneys. I wear Wilson platinum guards which are the on bulkier side and I have big legs. The work great for me.

I added a 4" on my HSM after my partner took a shot to his throat. He was wearing a HSM. He's 6' 4" 310# and was hurting really bad. A 1/2" higher and he would been headed to the ER. I will add that he should of had his CP pulled tighter. I wear my WVG high but I still added the guard. I added one to my HSM the next day. Do yourself and your family a favor, add one to your mask ASAP! It's a very dangerous injury should you take one to the thorax.

Good thinking on the WVG. It took me 15 years of lesser CP's till I bought mine. Awesome protection that is worth every penny! I paid $180 for mine.

What travel ball league do you umpire on the weekends?
