  1. Rule 8-3-2 states that an obstructed runner receives a minimum one base award. However, what if a batter-runner leaving the box is obstructed by the catcher and there is a line drive to the infield that is caught? Is the batter-runner still entitled to a minimum one base award? I couldn't find anything in the rule book that would state otherwise. The NCAA book specifically addresses this situation (6-3-d(2)) and the batter runner would still be out.

  11. It just so happened that the heavens opened up and we cancelled for unfit conditions. The best part was we suggested that we not begin and he could save half a fee but once we were at the pregame conference, too late. Told ya so.
  12. I had an 18u AAU coach tell me that the field we were on did not have a 30 minute lighting strike rule and he didn't care about any rule book because it was 'his' field, his rules.

  20. Hey all, I wanted to introduce myself. I see this forum come up on google search for product info and thought I'd register. I've been umpiring for 16 years. I am the local high school assigner and also just joined a college board. I'm excited to see my schedule come out in February since it will be the first time i haven't assigned myself. I look forward to being on this board.
  21. I was thinking that if I got the 10 opposed to 12.5 it would be tighter around my neck. I took two shots that hit the black edging opposed to the plastic. I can't pull it up any further because it gets caught on the bottom of my mask. I want the 10 so that its narrower and the plastic that goes up and over is closer to my neck.
  22. 12.5 or 13.5 depending on the website you look at. It's the larger of the two, definitely not 10.75. I took two shots in the collarbone during fall ball with U15 and realized that if I took another shot like that it will break my collarbone. Especially since I got accepted into a college board this year.
  23. The catalog states that the lightweight with doeskin pads comes in at 1.4lbs. I can't say with TW. I have the Honigs with doeskin and it is noticeably heavier than Diamond ix3.
