Gerry Davis also sells it but when I called they couldn't confirm it was Lena. Just that milb guys used it. Honigs was back ordered last year and I bought it directly from Lena.

I agree but that's not your original play.

If BR passed R1 while he was standing on the base, how can F3's action have any bearing on the passing if F3 was in fair territory? The only way BR can get into fair territory would be to pass R1 who is standing on the bag.
-
BR is out for passing an unobstructed runner (R1 who was standing on first, HP umpires call if he's not on the line for RF call). 2nd out. R3 scores and R2 is the third out. The rundown shouldn't occur. The OBS shouldn't have any bearing on this play because the BR is out once he rounds the base and R1 is standing there. I can't envision where F3's action causes the BR to pass R1. He's already past the bag where R1 is tagging.

9-2-i Penalty says a ball shall be called for each violation, and does not mention ejection after the first one -- so why wouldn't the answer be, "A"? I looked back at my test last year and the ejection was not part of the answer. I will go with A as well.

I'm pretty sure this one was on a test previously, but i can't remember how I answered. I've looked for it several places in the book but haven't had any luck. This was on last year's test. It's C. I'm not calling a ball on that. It's not a question if your are calling it or not. It's a rules question.

Sorry. *Phill and DH. Auto correct.
-
It's C or D, but I've looked through the substitution part of the book several times and can't find this one. Is it mentioned somewhere else in the book? I think D is correct. They discussed this in Phill that a DR doesn't have to be named until his next at bat.

If the throw was meant to be cut off then the 'end of the catcher's throw' would be at cut off. Since there wasn't an out recorded at that action, the ball is dead.

It's $100 for all three levels of NCAA. 2013-2014 rule book, 2014 CCA and $10 off $50 at Honigs. Last year I believe it was $20 off.

That is why I stop looking at those quizzes. They are wrong more times than they are right.

NCAA 6-6. When Play resumes.
-
NCAA it's nothing. The only consideration is if ground rules allow for a throw from dead ball area. Fed would be one base from TOP.
-
FED and NCAA you cannot make a natural pitching motion while off the rubber. If that is what you had, calling a balk was correct.

Reminds me of Kenny Rogers vs the Yankees in Game 5 with his hat but no one could find it afterwards.

It won't be there for game 5. I think Manny is highlighting that nothing should be on his glove anyways based on his comment that it was rosin.

I guess I took post 2 the extra step. He can step off legally or throw to a base but he cannot pitch because he never came set. Correct? I was confused when some where saying it wasn't a balk. It wasn't a balk yet...
-
In the OP, in Fed and NCAA, don't your hands have to be at your side or behind you when you engage the rubber? Or are we talking about a different rule set?

I apologize for not updating the thread. I am using the bag since it did not sell prior to the season. Thanks.
