So who is it you know that's taking you to the next level This guy he knows all the rules but he dosent know how to apply them. Good umpire knowledge just a bad umpire all around. Zing:) haha. You probly don't know him.

You can avoid all of this if you don't verbally call obstruction and just signal it. 99% of the time coaches won't even know you have it until the play is over.

I agree thats fair because the runners most likely would have advanced, but I would have sent them back. In my mind it's the same thing as if the offensive team had a ball from their bucket causing confusion. On deck batter should have done something more responsible with the ball.

yeah I did it for an inning when my partner was late, the coaches asked if they wanted me to let them watch the lines. I scarcastically laughed and said absolutely not.

I'm in the same situation I called HS ball this past season, and I am going to try and dig into college ball this year a little. I'm really excited for the opportunity. Remember it's all about who you know and who knows you, so get your name out there, and bigger and better opportunities will come your way.

on shop.mlb.com its $15 per ball thats 150000 balls on average I dont know if that factory is in America but each worker should make on average 33 balls a day. How does this area opperate in the green with all of the over head? I guess Rawlings Makes up for it in other areas, or else these people are not making any money per hour. just an observation.

Don't you love it when coaches act like we have enough sets of eyes to see the entire field at once! I had a situation that was somewhat the same running a 2 man crew. Bases loaded I was PU and my partner went out to call the truble ball to right. Kid makes catch and then drops it on the transfer, then he kicks it. I've got the tag up at second and thrid and only Who knows about first because thats where he plays. long story short defence appeals first. You cant call the out unless you see it so runner on first was Safe. If they want to pay for it they can have a 6 man crew, but they didnt have one then.

Most times the throw from F2 is going to F1 or F6 I've never seen F4 take it. Not saying it dosent happen I've just never seen it. B is the position I'm camping out in every time in this situation.

I'm punching him out for being out of the BL all day. That call looks pretty easy. Also that whole play was just bad baseball.

You could call a verbal interferance but only if you or your partner heard something, and if you felt that the coach was trying to deceive the pitcher.

There is always that small kid in every league that has no strike zone to speak of, and has walked almost every AB of the season. How do you make it fair for the pitcher and batter so that the batter can get involved and actually play the game?

If they are 9 they should be pitching in my opinion, but at this age as a umpire, no you dont want to "coach," but often times the coaches don't know the rules of baseball. I don't know the level of play with y'all's 9u teams for park ball is, but where I'm from a lot of the park league teams I come across can't play at the age of 14. To keep the game moving and to develop the kids knowledge of the game I think it's good to insert yourself in these situations. Don't coach on basic fundamentals but inform them of proper ways to handle these kinds of situations. Look at it this way: now when that kid comes across that situation in the future he will know how to handle it. I think you handled it very well. Way to help grow the game and develop that kids knowledge of the rules.

i believe i have seen s video of this bear and it landed on a trampoline and bounced a good 15 feet before finally making contact with the not so soft ground. very funny because the bear was ok.

Im a young guy in my 4th season always looking to get better. I call with Grand Slam Alabama (travel ball), high school, and park ball as well. if you have any tips for a younger but some what seasoned guy let me know.
