+1 Matt have been hearing this all year. Even had a coach eject himself in the bottom of the first this year because he did not know when to stop arguing this when all of his coaches were telling him he was wrong.

Had hands part of the bat last night pitch coming in at high end of zone but in the strike zone kid sticks his hands over the plate and gets hit in hands. I call dead ball strike. After half inning coach comes in and says I know hands part of the bat foul ball. I told him no his batter was hit in the strike zone it is a dead ball strike. He looked at me like I was crazy then said if he got hit in the elbow it wouldn;t be a strike. I had to tell him again if it is in the strike zone it is.

There are some mlb parks I believe that if it hits above the yellow line it is a HR but on it play all day.

My main question is on fair/foul calls you call foul and it is fair how do you decide where the runners should be placed since all action stopped on the foul call. Will this lead to more close calls being called fair and just let the replay then call it foul?

Hey lets make it interesting it costs them $1000 to ask for a review. Every time they are correct they get the money back and can challenge again but if proven wrong the Umps of that game get the $1000 kind of like a protest fee.

It was great when he was relieved after 3 innings the other coach told his coach to send him out for the fourth even though he could not pitch and then walk out to pull him. Everyone had found out about his dad and gave him a standing ovation. There was not a dry eye in the place including umpires. Some coaches and parents have real class.

I made a 9 year old cry in a tournamnet this year but I blame his coach. He put the kid on the mound and he had a bright wrist band on his pitching hand. We told him he had to take it off and he started crying. We then found out his dad had died from a heart attack 3 weeks prior and they gave him the wrist band at the funeral. Other team said to leave it on. We told the coaches to make sure they let umps and coaches know of a situation like this before hand in the future.

Yes it is. Also did not help tournamnet director kept coming over wanting us to hurry up every 10 minutes. I kept telling him it wasn't our fault he did not install a time limit in his tournament.

yeah i know about not carrying over it I think it was just the fact that the first game was a 3 1/2 hour 25 to 19 marathon that I might have been a little thin skinned and it was the very first play of the game 3rd pitch.

it wasn't one on one screamed so everyon in the 4 field complex could hear.

the approach was way over the top came storming out of the dug out and I told him judgement call safe then he said that is one. I heard afterward that this coach has been tossed like 7 times in his regular season already. This was not relayed to me until well after the game but I can see why.

Working a tournament 11u yesterday. I am PU my partner made a few calls one coach did not aggree with and he said that is 2 you missed. My partner pulled coach aside and said if he did any more counting for him then he was done. Well they win the game and go on to play next game same field. This time I am in the field. First play of game banger at first call runner safe. Same coach comes up and says of course that's one. Bye bye. I might have wanred if we had not had the exact same situation with the same coach in the previous game but see you later.
