Place runners?

Sit1 R2 a ground ball to F6 who bobbles a few times...and throws to 1st.. and the time of the throw the BR had reached 1st...but R2 did not advance to 3rd.when the ball was thrown out of play where do you place the runners?

Sit2 same as above butt this time R2 advances to 3rd and BR had advanced to 1st at the time of the throw where do you place the runners?

SIT # 1....... 2 bases from TOP because all runners had not advaced at least one base at the TOT. R2 awarded Home, BR awarded 2B. 7.05g

Calablue has it correct. Two bases TOP unless all runners and the BR have reached the next base at the TOT in which case it's two bases TOT.
