Does anyone have a fix for this issue I am having?

Whenever I work the plate, the plastic shell that covers my shoulder is always visible, and I hate how it looks under my shirt.  Is there a solution to this issue so that the chest protector isn't visible around my neck? I will attach an image for reference. As marked in the photo, this part of my protector is always visible no matter how much I try to adjust it. FYI, I do use shirt tucks, which are great but hasn't fixed this issue.

Thank you

What style/brand of shirt are you currently wearing? You may want to consider a shirt that has a structured collar where it actually stands up, and doesn't lay flat if the one you're wearing doesn't have one. This may help/solve the problem.

I've worked with guys who wear a black spandex/compression like shirt OVER their CP and under their uniform.  It does tighten up the look (not as many plates, rivets, buckles printing through your outer layer), but here in Alabama, during much of the year the extra layer just adds to the trapped body heat & increases misery.

For me (unlike Mr. West in the photo) I make sure two buttons are buttoned on my shirt. That works for me, but I realize YMMV.

To clarify, take a look at the photo below. The shirt on the top has a structured collar that allows it is to maintain an upright shape. The shirt on the bottom connects the collar directly to the body and everything lays much more flat and a bit sloppy.

Buttoning one or two of the buttons may fix this or look for a shirt that has a structured collar and you wont have exposure issues.

I will say what Derek may not be able to…

Structured collars? Honig’s, Davis, Gr8 Call… Even the ol’ TheOfficialsChoice.
Sloppy collars? Smitty, Majestic/Fanatics, CliffKeen.

Haven’t seen a Mizuno -brand shirt yet.

So I've been wearing the GD black shirt this year for my plates and I have to say that it's a noticeable difference for the better in comparison to my other shirts that include the Majestic.

I was looking for the term and I think I found it here. The structured collar really is the way to go.

I hadn't worn a shirt with a collar like this before and it's been great...for this reason and it also gives me just a little more sun protection.

The material the shirt is made from is also breathable and allows perspiration to evaporate. Normally, my shirts are soaking wet after a summer plate job and I'm just not getting that experience with this shirt.

So...if you're looking to try something different...give these shirts a try! You'll be impressed.
