How do you convince a casual fan that there are no force outs at first base?

Why would you want to do that?   The whole point of  being able to say "ahem, actually, you can't have a force at first base" is for you to show people how much smarter you are than they.

It's Mensa for umpires.

It's a stupid conversation that has no other point.
