MLB.com Removes Search Function on Videos

Anybody else confirm that we are no longer able to search video on mlb? 

If true, that's unfortunate.

FWIW, the old syntax using the URL https://www.mlb.com/video/search?q=SEARCHTERM now leads to a 504 error, which is a really nice way of saying we forgot to pay the electric bill (or conversely we went off-grid without leaving a forwarding address).

I had some old web pages that would also time out when used the search menu.

I hope they can fix what is perceived to be a pretty big mess over there based on the deadspin article

I totally forgot about this and went to find the Carripazza ejection from today. It's very frustrating!

If you hear about it, you can go to the game box score many times and the video section up top can be clicked on will have the ejection there.

True, but horribly in convenient. 

Taking away the search function makes absolutely no sense.

The search option has yet to make an appearance on the app

You can search by player name now.  Nothing else for now it seems

Not totally.  I was able to find a few plays using the name of a player involved
