Hit by pitching, runner was stealing third

Question

The batter was hit by the pitch.  The runner was stealing third and was very likely to steal the base (this was little league baseball and there was unlikely to be a throw to third).  Question is should the runner be awarded third or forced to go back to 2nd because of the hitter being hit by the pitch and becoming a dead ball.  The hitter was awarded first base.

Back to second unless forced to advance because there was a runner on first too (which it doesn’t sound like). When the ball becomes dead on the HBP the unforced runners return to or stay at the base they occupied at the time of the pitch.

If this was Little League, then the runner can't leave until the ball reaches the batter - so on a hit batter, he shouldn't be near 3B anyhow.

And, TOP is when the pitcher starts his move to the plate.  So, even if R2 reaches third after TOP but before the batter is hit, R2 returns to second.

Little League, Inc. has a registered trademark, so they use Little League® (option-r on your keyboard).

Other claimed trademarks use the ™ symbol (option-2 on your keyboard).

Oh, don't mention it.
