Can someone on here give me the cliff's notes version of the major differences between NCAA and NFHS rules?

I have a couple of games this weekend under NCAA rules and I have never called that rule set. I know there is differences in the number of offensive/defensive conferences, when you have to pull a pitcher, etc.

Thanks for your help guys. I'm just gonna give it my best shot.

If you have a NFHS rule book, I'm pretty sure the rules differences are in the book somewhere. If not, you can google it.

in Fed a balk kills the play/pitch  in NCAA it is the same a MLB--in NCAA you can have a slid thru the bag at second and also a pop up slide is ok--and the DH can only bat for the pitcher in NCAA--also on DH  the pitcher who bats is also the DH. that's the Reader Digest version on the rules difference.

They all know NCAA baseball. You should just have to call balls and strikes. You might have to call maybe one no stop. If they antagonize each other you better know how to warn. Know how the clock works even if they don't want it called. If it's JUCO all bets are off. Read the book referenced above. You can do it in a night. Sorry that it might be your Friday night.

You could have taken good notes last fall, because I know when I went over the rules presentation at a certain clinic in Springfield, MO that you attended, I mentioned when the NCAA differed...oh wait, that was when you were drooling and snoring.

Just FYI, you talk in your sleep.

Jewelry is allowed.

The restrictions on a pitcher's arm sleeves are different.

OBS is different (might have been mentioned).

Blocking the base is different.

I assume you'll be with a partner who knows the rules -- so just call ball/strike, fair/foul, safe/out and let your partner deal with the rest.

I do have it written down Jason. I just wanted a refresher and to see if there was anything else specific to look for. I still have all the materials. I will go back and read through it. I had forgotten you covered that honestly since most guys at the clinic were HS guys.

Thanks for the pointers guys.
