How the heck does your equipment fit in this thing, having issues,  is the bottom half for the equipment????? Or is the top part for the equipment???

Put your clothes in the part that has the Velcro dividers. I thought that was the bottom compartment. I got rid of that bag a few years ago so I can't remember.

I don't put my clothing in the bag, generally.

agree.

However, ..I have a small Nike bag that fits inside my Force3 where I keep my:

socks

jocks

leggings

undershirts

I use just a regular bag, not particularly made for umpires, and it has little zipper pouches where I keep extra socks, cups, jocks, etc.

2 Questions...

@JasonPalo - How much stuff are you putting in the bag that makes it a tight fit? I had room to spare in that bag. That's why I got rid of it...it was too big.

And for the rest of you - Where do you guys put your clothes if you don't put them in your bag?

I've been using Force3 (it's predecessor actually the JEAPU bag). I put plate shoes (in Honigs shoe bags, two masks (in Honigs mask bag), shins, CP and belts in the lower compartment. Top held two pairs of hi-top base shoes (in waterproof bags), Honigs accessories bag, socks, t-shirts, mock necks (in cold season), tights, jock, cups, hats(folded inside New Era cap carrier) towels. Bath mat in top. Pants, shirts, jackets in Honigs hanging garment bag.

It was sometimes a tight fit.

Now I've got my old JEAPU bag that has seen better days and two brand new bags. One Wilson and a Force3. Not sure which one to keep and which to sell.

@MidAmUmp. For what it's worth, no Velcro dividers in Wilson bag anymore.

I hang all my pants, shirts, etc. on a rod in the back seat of my crew cab blue Dodge Ram.

I've never figured out the reason why you would buy a rather large $120+ umpire bag and then either carry/hang or put your clothes in a separate bag. There is plenty of room in all of the umpire-specific bags to put several sets of uniforms. Plus, they don't fade while hanging in the back of your car on hangers for months on end.

That's part of the reason I returned the big 33" or 36" Diamond bag I bought last year. I'm sure it's great for umpires who travel a lot, but pretty much everywhere I go is within (at most) a couple hours from my house, so I don't see the appeal.

Plus, if I hang my shirts and pants in my car, then they aren't creased when I go to wear them. I also don't leave them in my car when I'm not on my way to/from a game, so they aren't just wasting space and fading in the sun.
