I have always had issues with my shirts especially behind the plate that the corners of my collar decide they want to point up and not sit like the rest of the collar. I assume someone here has a trick or technique to fix this issue.

Someone once told me to sew the collar to the shirt but I can imagine that would look good, and not going to ruin a  shirt to figure it out.

Okay, valid question, but what does a pork product have to do with this? :-)

You mean, what does America's favorite slice of meat have to do with this?

Spray starch and an iron.  LOTS and LOTS of spray starch and an iron.  The ex-military guys here should be able to tell you about how you can take a floppy cover and make it as firm as a piece of cardboard.

I press my shirts every game, and yes I use alot of starch. Never had a problem.
