Yes, unless it was an infield fly. 7.08f.

Out for Interference-  unless F3 was playing in front of the bag, and F4 had no chance to field the ball. In that case he's only guilty of INT if it was intentional. The fact that he's in contact with the base is irrelevant, unless, as stated above, it's an infield fly.

Def out unless IFF.

Not if F3 is in front of the runner and no other infielder had a chance to field it, and the contact is not intentional. In that case, play on.

Common myth: The base is not a safe haven. Under most circumstances, the runner is out due to the rules my brothers in black posted above.     :hi5:

What about the base runners and the batter?  The umpire called the person on first safe who was hit by the batted ball because he was on the base when he got hit - the bases were loaded and he awarded the batter first base and allowed the runners to all advance which allowed a run to score.  It was a line drive so infield fly did not apply and the firstbaseman was playing next to the runner.

Assuming that the batted ball had not yet passed the first baseman, the runner on first is out for interference.  The batter is awarded first base, no other runners may advance.

Tough call to make for an inexperienced youth league umpire which I am assuming the umpire was. Although I think some of my HS and a couple of my college level compadres might have missed that too. Sad, but true.

I've always wanted to point at a guy and give him the old Kenny Powers motto- "You're F*#Kin' out!"

It would be funny, at least to me but a little unprofessional. (In the words of the great Ron White, comedian)
