Well, after 16 seasons, it finally happened. I got 2 strikes on one pitch.

During warm-up, OTHC says, "Do I have time to go to the bathroom?" :WTF:

I say yes but I'm not waiting for you. His leadoff tried not to enter the box, but I instruct him to take his position. Batter and battery all set, I put the ball in play. F1, from the set, starts to pitch. B1 steps out with both feet (into the grass). F1 delivers.

THAT'S 2 STRIKES! (pointing once for each strike. Is there a mech for this?)

1BC asks how thats possible. I quote him the rule verbatim.

I guess there really IS a first time for everything!

Was his Mommy there to cheer him on w/ a slew of annoying comments such as "great substitution there, baby!" and "good pitching change!"

I had the opportunity the other day and passed. The pitch was high, and I called it a strike. You'd have thought that the world was ending the way the batter and his coach cried about the one strike. I think if I had called 2 their heads would have exploded.

And that would have been a proper opportunity to apply 9.01(c )/FED 10-2-3g! Maybe I should have called it...

And I was all agog wanting to see how you got two strikeouts on one pitch only to discover it was only two strikes.  :angel4:

 I thought the same thing,Rich...

Maybe Jocko works as an editor for a (formerly) major newspaper, trying to create headlines for articles to generate click-thrus to increase ad revenue. The headline only has to be marginally related to the content of the article.

@Jocko - Please disclose your pecuniary interest in U-E. :)

@Jocko Where I'm from, NDAs are used saying that you won't disclose classified information.

Which reminds me, I'm still getting e-mails about Manning and how he should be released. But that's off topic.
