I was watching the 500 meter Women's Speed skating. A German skater was called for a false start for starting up too fast. They restart and she flinched her arm and was DQed for a second false start. Four years of training and her Olympics were done. Her arm was so slight that you couldn't see it until replay. My first thought was, flinch balk.

Good point.

I blame Michael for not giving us the whole situation including down and distance, weather, and if there were any hot mothers in the front row of the stands.

To summarize. The skater cheated. Got caught. DQ'd.

I didn't see any real advantage it may have given her but she knew it as soon as the whistle blew. Now I'm watching women's curling.

Skeleton is absolutely nuts. When the luge guys shake their heads you know it's bananas.

YUP!!!!

 

which is faster MST ?  I know the skeleton girls were topping out around 78-ish mph
