I'm sorry, but I just find this too hard to believe that professionals missed 20% of their calls on accident. Something sure smells funny!

20% of the challenged calls. Only one game had any overturned calls. I didn't see the game where the three plays were overturned, but I can't see them calling plays wrong just to see if IR would work.

That is exactly what I think. I saw a ridiculous call in the first game which was challenged. The call was correct. A phenomenal call.

The one at first sure looked like an intentional miss, it was obvious. One was a blown rotation. Don't know about the third

As with most stats that sounds like a big number but you are looking at three calls overturned in five games. One game had seven replays, that is more than is going to be allowed next anyway. So you go to six calls per game max over five games that is a total of 30 possible replays. 20% of that is 6 which will never be that high. Personally I don't we will see more than two a game on average. So for the same 5 games is 2.

If we look at what has happened in the LLWS, I don't think the numbers of overturned calls is that high and they use IR much more. Some of their overturned calls are so close it requires many angles and super slo mo. Of the overturned calls some of those were incorrectly overturned. So WTH do you do with those.

The stat that the talking heads don't ever mention is the total of calls in a game. Safe/out, fair/ foul, catch/no catch, interference/ obstruction, then overlay the overturned calls and look at that number.

Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2
