Yeah, I did some research into it. I am not a gun owner but I am interested in the subject. 

 

I find it has less recoil and a better rate of fire. With ammo being so darn expensive, I could hardly afford to load up a 30 round mag and blast the target. Plus 30 rounders are heavy as hell!

Some interesting facts I was able to discover about the AR-15:

The inventor of the AR-15 was Satan, though his patent has since expired.

What are the differences between an M16 and an AR-15? Scientists agree that it is something.The AR-15 can be rendered harmless by giving it only a 10 round magazine as people always miss with the first ten rounds and an AR-15 takes an hour and a half to reload.The AR-15 can shoot through schools.In a battle between Chuck Norris and an AR-15, Chuck Norris would break down and buy it so people might think he's more manly.

There were no shooting deaths until the invention of an AR-15. No one even considered using a gun to shoot another human being until someone saw an AR-15 and said, "I bet I could use this to kill people."

I'm now looking to purchase a few new toys. 

 

My newest wishlist items:

• Handgun -FNH - FNS-9 I fired one over the holiday weekend and loved the feel and shot the best I had ever shot with a handgun. I will get this pretty soon Hoping I get a few Visa Gift Cards for Christmas.
• Shotgun -  I really want the Benelli M4 but too pricey There are a few others I like but not enough to put on a buying list. And I like what I have. The next I get will be composite material, gas/auto loading, 8+ shell capacity and preferably have a pistol grip.
• Rifle - I currently do not own any in the AR family but have fired a few. I like all I have had experience with but the S&W M&P 15 just felt the best to me. It is on my list.

Consider a HK 94. I have 1 HK MP5 and it is the BEST close in weapon ever (class 3 FFL).

I also like the FNS-9.  Better 1911 grip angle and incredible trigger break. Very consistant. Are you looking for it as a daily carry, or target? 5 inch barrel is tough out of holster IMHO.

Have you fired the S&W MP 9s?  (The FNS has a more difficult takedown, just saying)

 

The M4 looks great with a bayonet. 

 

Build your own AR and make it truly your own. Owning a ready made will let you see what you would do, and then it's off to the races.
