We've discussed this before - interesting to see it. And it cost my Nats the game.  :big_no

Perfect example of what a batter is supposed to do.  Stay in the box.  Don't duck, move or do ANYTHING.

Exactly! I agree it was correctly ruled as NOT interference.

The camera did not stay on PU long enough to tell, but following the strike call, I am going to give a point at the batter and a "safe" signal to let both teams know I saw it and its a big nothing.

And a verbal "that's nothing".

I like the verbalization and use of pointing at the runner and giving a safe sign. That is a good mechanic I will begin using. I utilize this same mechanic when a batted ball comes close to a runner in the baseline and contact is avoided. I agree this is a great way to let the manager and fans know you saw it, ruled on it, and had nothing. More than half the time, I bet it helps avoid an argument.

you don't need to point... there's no reason for it, it is an unnecessary movement..

Agreed -- everyone knows what your signaling safe for.  Save the point for something that happens not for something that doesn't
