Heard one that I was curious about.  Dribbler down the line is currently foul.  F2 kicks the ball further foul.  U awards BR first base.

Am I missing something?  That sounds like a foul to me.  U said that he can swipe it with his glove, but it is against the rules to kick it.  I can't find anything, and am inclined to think this was an "I've-never-seen-that-it-must-be-wrong."  Am I missing something?

Foul.

That's 4 fouls in a row.

"Coach, I need more baseballs.  Count is no balls, 2 strikes.  Play."

I'm guessing he misremembered the penalty for the offense deflecting the ball and then sort of plastered around that idea.

6.05 A batter is out when—

. . .

(i) After hitting or bunting a ball that continues to move over foul territory, he
intentionally deflects the course of the ball in any manner while running to first
base. The ball is dead and no runners may advance;

Had a newbie ump call an out once for four fouls.  Neither the other coach nor I could convince him he was wrong.  "Both of you back to your dugouts!"

Guess who won that protest.

4 fouls = out.

I like it! Not a rule... yet... but I like it!

I played in a adult low-key, slow-pitch softball league with that rule . . .  I think we also started with a 1-1 count . . .

Thx all.  I thought this was an easy one.

A lot of slow pitch has a foul on strike 3 as strike 3-you're out.

Unless you are playing with a waste. :)
