No long sleeve shirts permitted by our organization. Also plate coats not permitted. Therefore pro style jacket on the plate for cold nights.

WOW!

Plate coats and long sleeves not permitted? What kind of group is this, anyway?

Canadian

Provincial org - no long sleeves. National (Canada) allowed long sleeves behind plate.

It sounds like some associations (Like this one in Canada) have too much time on their hands.

They have a short baseball season so the rest of the time they make up silly rules.

I prefer the long sleeve jersey if its chilly or even cold, but if there's a chance for rain or snow, I'll wear a jacket.  I don't own a plate coat, so that's not an option yet.

My jacket is my default for anything other than a short-sleeved shirt. I prefer the convertible one by Honig's. I will wear LS shirts only if it is not raining, snowing, windy, or too terribly cold.

I don't own a jacket due to the fact that when baseball season starts it's rarely cold around here. :)

I've started donning the the LS jersey on chillier days, ...I like it a LOT!!!  However, like the rest, when it's damp I'm either tucking a jacket, or rockin' the Majestic Cool Base tucked, sleeves on (ala Fittske).   Layering the Cool Base can get you VERY far on cool days ...that thing is way more versatile than one thinks

Generally I wear the long sleeve shirt with underarmour. If its windy or rainy Ihave a tuckable Honigs that we were required to buy. I sure would love a plate coat, just havent pulled the trigger yet.

I have to post a retraction on this policy. It has been pointed out to me by another member (NovaScotiaBlue) that long sleeves and/or plate coats are allowed by our organization. It is not specifically noted on our website or mentioned otherwise. OOPS !
