I don't get why people think it is faster. If it really was faster at the end of every Olympic sprint people would dive head first to the finish line.

So is it appropriate to change your angle at U1 so that doesn't happened?

Ideally, yes. But often if you are in proper angle for your regular play, you can't anticipate the dive until it is too late. You see O'Nora lean to get a better angle.

IMO Two steps fair may have helped, but Fielders foot was behind the bag, so he may not have had anything different.

Also, -- And this is just a guess on my part feeding off of Iassogna fair call --- But being 2SF might look bad on this big of a stage..

If you watch his foot it looks like he re tags the bag before Prince gets there. IMO! Also the 1st base coach doesn't say anything.

Different criteria - you finish a foot race when your torso hits the line, not an outstretched hand.

Just run through the damn base and you will get the call more often than sliding. I assure you that if the umpire is not sure he is getting the out.

I dont' think there's a camera angle that shows this conclusively that it was correct, or not correct ........ I don't think he tapped the bag in time, but again, there's nothing 100% conclusie
