Does anyone know where I could find these shoes? I've seen them on the field, and am interested in looking into these and seeing if I like them. Looking for a new pair of base shoes, and considering these if I like them. Just can't find them anywhere online.

What brand of shoes do the NFL referee's wear? I just picked up the patent leather reebok zigs for basketball and they feel great.

I'm not a fan -- Nike shoes run very narrow, in my experience.

I know that doesn't help. But in case you give up on the Nike's, I recommend the Reebok Zigs wholeheartedly.

The NFL signed a new apparel agreement this year with Nike, it may take a little time for retailers to catch up on the new gear. Reebok has the contract for the last 10 years or so. The NFL is where the officals/umpire black/white Zigs originated and it trickled down to the public from there.

This is the closest thing out that matches the NFL Ref's shoe. However in typical Nike fashion, for the Ref's shoe they added a special nubby sole and made it in a color way that is not avalible to the public. The 1.3 is the same shoe minus the nubby sole and white logos.

I currently have the Reebok Zigs, but was just interested in checking out the new Nike shoes also. I have several pair of Nike shoes, and have no problem with any of them concerning width or anything.

I am a NB guy and own nothing by Reebock or Nike.

I am also a New Balance guy. They are the only shoes I can find that consistently fit and do not wear out in 6 months.

That's to bad!

jk

Nor will I. :) Kind of like I Crap, I have no interest in buying from certain companies. Logical no, but I'm fine with it.

The Nike Trainer 1.3

All leather I assume?

I also think they may be the Nike trainer 1.3 maxx. While trying to find them I came across these and they seem to have a lot of NFL ties to them. I guess all the NFL teams have there own version of the shoe. They have the same sole of the air maxx's but for $170 they are quite an investment.

The Nike Trainer 1.3 Max is now only available in the Breathe version which is lighter and full of mesh, .....

I've contacted Nike re: the NFL referee's shoes ........ sit tight ;)

It's not quite "mesh" like you are thinking-but generally I agree.

Yep. It's what they're calling hyperfuse, but it still can't be shined, so it's really of no use to us.

I've been in contact with Nike about this NFL shoe, and also been informed that the shoe they're wearing is the Air Trainer 1.3 with the Hyperfuse.

Trust me, I'm campaigning the person I'm talking with to have Nike look into shoes that are suitable for "officials" ....I told her it's a lot bigger market than Nike realizes!

I'm trying guys, I'm trying! :D

OK, more from Nike ....

I have someone there looking into this. It appears to be an Air Trainer 1.3 max, but, it has a unique sole (as Ken mentioned originally) and it does appear to have a leather-like/synthetic combo upper. She was convinced it was a basic 1.3, but when she saw this picture above, she wrote me back and said, "give me 24 hours to research this" ... I think I convinced her.

Seriously anyone, ....would you guys be interested in seeing good shots of this shoe? And, would you consider wearing it?

Just order these:

They are pretty close and just as good looking.

Also, not sure why you would want to polish any Nike shoe. These aren't $50 Reebok Field Magistrates we are talking about. You'd prob want to save these for good fields or conditions and just wipe the clean after use.
