For those of you who cannot remember Billy Martin, he would have gone on this one also.

His principle was that you had to even up the calls, whenever the Yankees were involved. He would let you make a close call against the Yankees and not say a word, but, on the second close call, if it went against the Yankees, he would be right in the umpires face. He did not care one iota that the umpire made 2 great calls that were correct and verified on replay. Close calls against the Yankees were to be distributed evenly. That's how he grew up in life. He considered 2 close calls against the Yankees as you were personally hosing him and he had to scrap his way out of a fight. It was personal.
