So my games rained out yesterday. We drove 64 miles one way and the fiekds were underwater. Oh well. Games pushed to Sunday. I get home and put my stuff up and ready for Sunday. My wife hung my uniforms up so they wouldn't wrinkle. I wake up this morning, drink coffee, meet my carpool. We drive the 64 miles. 2 miles from the fields, partner asks if my uniforms are in my bag. ??????????? OMG!!! Not too big a deal. Partner has spares I can wear. Sucks, but salvageable. Until he realizes he has forgotten hi too. WOW!! 14 seasons and THIS happens? Doesn't get much more smitty than that. I feel like a complete tool. Guess I really am human. What a douche. My humble apologies to anyone I've ever made fun of. Flame away. I deserve it.

I posted earlier while we were in a mad dash to and from getting our clothes.

So I did 5 games today. 14u. Decent ball. 3 dish/2 base. Games started 30 minutes behind. What a jackass. I'm not a Smitty, but I sure pulled a smitty-ism. :shakehead:

High school regional playoff game. Our four man crew is two from my chapter and two from another chapter. One of the guys from the other chapter has to borrow my hat and my field shoes because he forgot his!

I went to do a tournament one time and left my uniforms at home, 120 mi each way. Luckily I did not have a game Fri night. My grandaughter was in the same tournament (different division) and through some mixup their starting SS had been left at home, so after a few phone calls I was able to pick her up as well as my clothes.

I haven't has anything that bad happen. However my first game ever I forgot my shin guards and I thought that it would be completely out of line to ask UIC to borrow a pair. Little did I know that the shorts I was wearing behind the dish made enough of an impression already.
