Pagan fooled by a c*ckshot curve and arguing. I don't think there was a "short fuse." Also, the fan directly behind the dish was giving the EJ mechanic. He knew what was coming.

I had the volume down. Now I got it. The "anyone watching at home" bit, right?

I noticed the announcers giving the Umpire credit.

DING DING!!! :D

Yes, but the Giants announcers had other thoughts :fuel:

If only the catcher had presented the ball better it would have been beautiful.

Wait...wait, I've found the transcript of the Giants announcers. Here it is.

Count is 1 and 2. Here's the pitch. Called strike three.

Wow, that ball was definitely inside.

Pagan is arguing. And, he's thrown out!

Oh, that's a quick hook.

You know, it's a myth that you can't argue balls and strikes. The actual rule has a little known

clause in it that you can argue if you keep it to less than 5 seconds. It's the 5 second rule.

Bochy is out to argue, and rightly so.

Ok, here's our Pitch F/X view...and that's clearly at least a foot inside! Wow!

Unbelievable.

Baseball needs to rein in these umpires. They can't be allowed to inject themselves into the game like this.

Such a crucial game and such a crucial at bat, and now Pagan is gone. Brutal.

This is just another argument for replays!

You've got that right.

What's that? We just received a call from Vin Scully. He says he wants us to sign up for his clinic in November.

Wow, what an honor! I can't wait to give the lecture on how umpires are ruining the game.

The rest of the transcript is at:

To be fair, the Giants announcers are a little less homerish than that.

That was quite the accurate analysis from the Phillies announcer also.

I see a great pitch that is absolutely butchered by the catcher and THEN pulled back up and into the zone.

Pitch f/x courtesy of CCS identifies it as "several inches inside". Take that as you will.

When receiving a pitch that poorly, I believe F2 loses the right to have that called a strike.

Good explanation by the broadcast team though.

And yes, Everitt was wearing a mic.

I noticed the Phillies announcers are better than the playes this year.

Was that truly necessaryy?!?! :no::hopmad::agasp_:

Don't worry, I'm a Phillies fan so when I say that, I say it with nothing but love.

As to UMP_24, come on man give Ruiz a break, he's all they got going for them this year.
