So, a few night ago, my 5 year old daughter and I were having a "discussion" about her bath time. While we are going back and forth, she holds up the stop sign and in her best impression of me, say that's enough! I say huh? What are yo... She cuts me off and says that's it, you're gone. And she dumps me and does a 180 and walks away.

The president aka SWMBO, said no suspension, just don't let it happen again. Or I'd be restricted to the couch.

Haven't had that happen, but I almost had my own misuse of the EJ mechanic. We run a small youth camp every summer. I was administering a sporting event during the camp and one of the kids was whining about something. My first instinct was to turn and dump her...luckily I restrained myself. Pretty sure I would've had to have dumped her mom too who was instigating most of the whining...

Would've been a little awkward at church the next Sunday if I'd dumped them...

SWMBO was ragging me about something or another. I defended my stance. She kept insisting I was wrong. I told her to knock it off. She kept on. I crow hopped when I dumped her in the foyer. She wasn't amused.

So you just restricted to the bench.

My story is a few weeks ago my son (who turns 8 tomorrow) was riding my last nerve. And he finally crossed the line and I told him to go to his room. I noticed as I was doing this I was giving the ol underhand hook to him and had to do my best not to laugh at myself and remain serious looking to him.
