Looking to replace my pads on my Diamond mask.

Will these work?

Thanks for your help!

As Warren stated I did.

I put Wilson Doeskin Wrap Around Pads on it.

No problems.

Love them.

I did the same thing with mine. Works greta. It did make the mask just a bit heavier but its worth it.

Are the Wilson pads that TW linked at ump attire (black) the same make as the doe skin Wilsons that you guys are mentioning? I too want to upgrade my Diamond pads with the Wilsons next sesason.

The black pads look very cool with the Diamond.

So, I assume that these pads will fit, right Kevin? That is great because I am just not a big fan of the doe skins on a black grill... just my opinion

I put several combinations of the Diamond frames together this year.

First was the silver frame, with those same black, wrap around pads. It was a tight fit, and didn't work with my face, as it had too few contact points. I moved those pads to a black Diamond frame, and they fit a bit better, but again, not to my face. I gave that rig to a friend of mine who loves it.

I loaded a silver frame with WV traditional tan pads, and it's my main mask.

I just got the new Champro magnesium frame, tossed the pads, and put in the tan leather ones that SOS had on sale. Niiiiiiiiiice. I really fits great. Those Champro pads aren't as wimpy as the Diamond, but I still don't like the fabric against my 5 o'clock shadow.

All my masks have the gold sun shade in them, just 'cause it looks neato.

Different mask and pad combinations will work for different folks. I like the protection of the round leather pads, as they offer the best fit to my face. I think having a larger contact area will spread to force out, as opposed to concentrating it on a few spots in my brain.

The wrap around pads, in a flatter style frame, just didn't work for me. It only hit the end of my chin, and a small portion of my forehead. Whereas the round pads fit my whole jaw, and my whole forehead, temple to temple. And that's what I want.

Good info. I thought I'd thrown around just about every combination possible for building a mask for next year, but I haven't seen a silver frame with tan pads. Of course feel is most important, but I'm also concerned with the looks. Do you like the way the silver and tan goes together? Any pics?

I had tan Wilson wrap arounds on my titanium part of this season and last. I like it okay. I like the black pads on the titanium better though.

I did the same thing as Kyle, but also switched the harness from my old Wilson mask, as it was already sized, with the straps already cut and taped to fit my noggin. Was pretty leery about how long it would hold up due to how light it feels compared to my old Wilson. Right after I started using it, I took a foul ball in a legion game just below the cheek area that rung my bell pretty good. I expected to find at least a dent in one of the bars (hoping for no cracks), but all I could find was a little color transfer from the ball!

Very pleased with this mask.

I took a wicked foul off the mask in a Juniors game, and it took four stitches out of the baseball. The rough surface of the mask is a ball killer, so check the ball after you wear one.

But yeah, the mask just had a red skid mark on it, that's it.

BTW

The reason I changed pads was due to getting a minor concussion from a mask shot off a foul ball.

Anyone using the original pads on the Diamond....Change them out quick.
