Any folks have an active McDavid discount code? Thanks. Happy New Year everyone!

Looks like Purchase Officials has them on sale now too. http://stores.intuitwebsites.com/purchaseofficialsupplies/-strse-892/SH-dsh-NP/Detail.bok

Can not tell by the pic if you have removed this plate or are tucking it under the plate on the shoe. If you havent simply cut it off, with plate shoes it is not needed. This is a good change the Wilson folks made... probably with some input from Jim Kirk and us. On the newer models, this is now removeable without having to cut it off.
-
It's kind of funny the only thing Wilson in this picture is probably the pads.

Yeah, I regret not making that short trip up the 15, and having Ce Ce fit me for one. I'd bet by now he would had some new tricks to put into them too. You still see a couple of medium blue ones one MLB guys. They usually come with great stories, too. Kyle, doesn't Tschida wear one?? I'm pretty sure he does... and Barrett. Those are the only two I recall off the top of my head.

HeySlo, we have added an alternative ball bag to deal with the issue some have had including yourself regarding the opening. It's a larger, tapered designed. You can read the background on the development of this product here if you would like: http://umpattire.blo...l-ultimate.html or see the product here: http://www.ump-attir...uct_Code=U12-XL I've a set on the way (should be here tomorrow). I will report on these soon unless someone else has some feedback.

If you read Eric's lips, you can tell he told Cox: "I told you what I did...I was honest."
-
Ditto. I wear it for both baseball and football and I like the results!

By the way, I wonder how long it will take them to notice they incorrectly spelled Todd's last name?! lol
-
Great to see Todd Tichenor getting a spot. Hopefully he will get a full-time slot next year. I enjoy watching him work.

Silly question alert... Brad: Is it possible to change out the steel cage with a titanium. I.E. if someone bought a MVP4000UMP:SL and down the road the frame bent (or whatever), could that person replace the steel cage with a TI? (I assume yes; however, would rather hear it from the top.)
-
Very close to purchasing a System Seven.... looking at the pros and cons. If you can provide any feedback that would be great! Thanks. Hollow Steel MVP4000UMP:SL vs. Titanium MVP4000UMP:TI

I'll bet that order ships!! ;)

Marc, I'm not involved in either of the businesses. However, I have purchased gear from them. Just thought I'd pass along the message.

IMO, far from a home made WV. Looks like this protector... http://stores.intuitwebsites.com/purchaseofficialsupplies/-strse-815/CP-dsh-220/Detail.bok Personally, I would stay away from it.

According to an e-mail I got yesterday, the Poly-Wools are on sale in addition to their gift certificate deal. For some reason, this makes me nervous they might be coming out with something new...maybe not.
-
If you buy something from them during the year... you get a 10% (?) discount sometime in December. As others have said... there are some associations who get a 10% discount. Otherwise, no discount...
-
Well, if it's the same page 19 I'm looking at... um, no thanks.

NLCS: Derryl Cousins (CC), Tom Hallion, Wally Bell, Ted Barrett, Jeff Nelson and Dan Iassogna. ALCS: Gerry Davis (CC), Brian Gorman, Angel Hernandez, Fieldin Culbreth, Jim Reynolds and Tony Randazzo.

Gibson's navy bucket looks like... well, $hit. I can't stop looking at it and shake my head.
-
Didn't O'Nora and Wolf (and Kellogg?) work the All-Star game?
-
I, too, haven't heard that Davis is retiring. I assume you mean Crawford. The Draker is already on the MLB staff; if he wasn't, he wouldn't be eligble for post-season. By my count, I believe there will be at least two slots to fill after this year (Jerry and Chuck).

Dry-Lo Umpire Ball Bag Review and Discount Offer
twjones replied to midmoump's topic in Umpire Equipment
Which is better... Dry-Lo or Ump-Attire's Ultimate? -
I borrowed this from a friend and finished it in two days. It was a great read and funny too. Some very interesting and sad stories.
