Guys,

Please advise best internet place to buy Umpire Pants & Shirts (aprox. 25 pants and 50 shirts).

Thanks for your time.

I would agree with Jax... Ump-Attire is the best place, especially with large orders such as yours... They may be a bit more expensive then a site like Honig's, but the Customer Service that UA offers is bar none, and the Ultimate shirts are very nice and very durable... Honigs is a complete toss up on Customer Service and the shirt quality is worse and won't last as long as the UA Ultimates.

Call Ump-Attire and they might be able to get you a deal for that bulk order too.

Ump-Attire is the place.

Jim should be able to work with you on price for a bulk order, maybe even a price match if you find them cheaper. I can verify that the Ultimate shirts are quality and hold up (I own several). Service is bar-none. What they say they can/will do, you can count on.

Ros@,

Also call Honigs in Ann Arbor Michigan for price information.

Ros@, If you are looking for an outstanding value on shirts, check out this guy on Ebay.

He had his own shirt made and modeled it off of a Smitty shirt. At $20 shipped, it is a great value. Navy only this year. More colors next year.

I will post more on this shirt later once I get a chance to measure it against the 2011 Smitty, but I thought I would put it here for you to look at. I have emailed the guy back and forth and he seems like a good guy.

Also, last year, I was able to get 20 Smittys at Purchase Officials for $18 each.

Depends on what brand you want. I go with Smitty, and buy through 1stopsportsshop.com. Prices are competitive, and umpires own and run it. They carry CK also, but I prefer Smitty. They have all colors of shirts in stock and if you call them they will give you bulk order pricing. They have 2 and 3 part #s, but I recommend buying them and having them sewn on. 1stop only heat presses them on, and that never lasts. Located in Birmingham, Al.

Ros@ , dIdn't you say you were from Puerto Rico ? I spent 18 months in Fajardo building the water park at the El Conquistador . Watched many baseball games there and know how hot it is in the tropics . These shirts are a little pricey , but they are amazingly light and durable . If they are in your budget , they would be worth considering . I would not reccomend the pants. http://www.cliffkeen.com/officials/baseball-softball/shirts/u126mxs-umpire-shirt

Honig's shirts this year are excellent. I would recommend them to everybody.

Did your collar not start fraying? Like little balls on the edge all around it?

No, not at all. I have 5 of their new shirts for this year and have no issues with them. I will be in honigs on monday to get some more shirts for the summer.

I agree I like Honig's new ProSoft shirts. I have a few and they are good. Almost identical to the Ump-Attire shirts.

Honig's prices have come down in the past few years. I dont like how their shirts are made in China while Jim's Ultimate Shirts are made in the USA for the same price. Honig's business model is far more expensive with more overhead.

Only thing I dont like about the UA shirts are the button plackets.

For the best pants - Honig's Poly Wools. The Ump-Attire Poly Wools are the same except for an expander waistband. For a decent pair of polyester charcoal pants - Ive found the Smitty's to look & be the best available at that price & quality level.
