They've always had the best price on that jacket, but Ump-Attire lowered theirs to $80 also. It's a great jacket.

Smitty has their version of the Thermabase now. Officially Sports sells it. I got one in black with the white stripes and wore it Saturday. it is every bit as nice as the Majestic version. It looks almost identical actually.

Their shirts fit me perfectly, so I don't know of any sizing issues with those. It fits me exacty the same as the Majestic jacket. I wear a large in both.

I have the Majestic, and have tried on and inspected the Smitty.

They are both very nice and extremely warm jackets. The Smitty's fabric is less noisy with your movements. That's the most noticeable difference. I haven't water tested the Majestic, but I would imagine that its fabric would repel moisture better, which is why the fabric is so noisy.

There are two discernible differences in the appearance of these two jackets: The white stripes on the Majestic are slightly thinner, which I prefer. And the other difference is that the Majestic has both the embroidered white logo on the sleeve, and this annoying red Therma Base tag on the hip. I'm going to have my tailor remove it, because it looks tricky, so if you add that to the price along with the shipping, it soars to over $100, while the Smitty holds strong at $70 plus shipping (about $12).

Good question. I bought the Majestic with polo blue. It looks awesome. Then my assocation said they want us in the navy with red. So it gave me an excuse to buy another jacket. I will be doing some tournaments as well as school ball so I'm guessing I will get to use both at some time. If not, there will be a jacket up for sale.

Holy smokes. I just saw the MLB light blue from Smitty shirt and it is definitely cut for the plate. They do NOT run small. At least what I saw. Nice shirt though.

Hack, Let me know what your review is of the two jackets. I live just south of you (vancouver... hello fellow WOA member) and need to replace both my black and navy jackets at some point this year.

Yeh, Im in my second year with Evergreen (but you can ask a bunch of people on here... been at it MUCH longer than that). So far love the my new association. Just missed out on being eligible for playoffs by three games due to being rained out last year. So far, seven assigned games for the first two weeks of the season and 6 are varsity (four of them are DHs). I have a navy therma-base jacket at work that is $20 more than what U-A sells them for. I like the feel and would love to take it for a test drive but probably wont be able to do that . So my older Honigs jackets will just have to do. As for wearing jackets into the summer. I plan on wearing either my long jackets for a while then going to my 3/4 sleeve jacket I got from Honigs last season until its to cold then back to my long jacket LOL. Love these things.

Hope your season goes well and to see you in Pasco this season. This is EBUA's year for having guys in the 3A/4A title games so hopefully I will be making the trip to see some friends work.

Well, ...that's new for Smitty then. Their NORMAL jersey runs smaller than most. Maybe, for this year, OR, maybe just for their MLB replicas, they're running more 'true'. Hopefully they've adapted a 'more true fit' overall ...meaning ... fit for gear...
