Did it really take any cops coming? Did the coach make a threat? Otherwise, any cops in a situation like that is ridiculous. Especially 3 of them.

One question I have is where is the plate umpire coming in to get his partner or usher the coach off the field? The ejection has been made. The cops, some threat had to be made.

Hardest thing to teach and often to do is keeping your composure.........wish there was a way to hear the "rest of the story"...because we all know there is one....To have the cops come there had to be some threat .....

To us umpires, there is never an upside to an outburst like the umpire in this clip...you may be mad, but as evidenced by the fan comments, once you are seen as the agressor, its all downhill from there.....

Very unprofessional didn't seen like that big a deal and he was more aggressive than the coach and the police unless a threat was made they should never have been there . Our uic has instructed us to eject turn around and walk away our partner should be intervening if it gets out of hand that tends to diffuse the situation just my opinion

Obviously U1 lost it but the clip starts at the ejection so we have no idea what led up to it. How he handled was very bad and his partner never rodeoed for him. The Asst had to come peel the coach off. I thought when I saw the first cop was that the coach was making a complaint. While the umpire was over the top there was nothing that warrented a complaint. There may have been something by the coach before the clip started and the game admin my have called them.

Once I felt the need to intercede in a game, slow pitch softball with one female umpire, and the R2 threatened F4. Knowing the F4 as being an exmarine that was't going to take it lightly, I injected.
