If you are going to TW your backup, I much prefer the Gold with a TW retrofit. The retrofit on the Douglas seems to make the neck opening a little tighter. I am in the process of trying to loose some weight and see if I like the douglas any better. If not I will probably try to sell it. With my college season over and my high school playoffs a week to week thing that could end any day I am about to put some of my extra stuff up for sale.

In all the games I have seen on TV today umpires are wearing the 2014 jerseys with the stripes on the side and cuffs.

I am in the same boat as Mr. Ump. I have my TW WVG and my UE in my vehicle right now. Last season I was almost exclusively wearing the Unequal...This year I have mainly worn the TW WVG. I love the what having the TW added to the gold did. It conforms really nicely to me. I also have a TW 13' gray douglas. I need to wear it a few more times. The TW padding made the Douglas stiffer and it is taking it a while to conform to my body. I will probably unload one of the three at some point, but I like the options I have at my disposal.

What are you looking for specifically? I might have one I am willing to sell.

I decided I wanted a pair of the old ones about the time everyone ran out of my size. Don't mind the look of the new ones...just don't know how easy they will be to clean. MLB guys on nice fields don't have to worry to much about the cleaning...but we do.

I know that Honig's has supplied MLB and Milb guys in the past...even with Majestic shirts they did not sell. We shall see.

We had Marvin at our local clinic...along with Lance Barrett, Nick Fagan, Nick Bailey (former Triple A) and Andrew Chestnut (Low A). He was promoting his new company. Says he has a couple of partners, but he seems invested. Wants to put all umpires in a professional uniform. Not sure what he means by that. Said he will have Wilson stuff. Also acted like he was going to be able to carry Hardwicks pants...I asked the question very specifically. Said they were excited to partner with him. He is also trying to get rights to embroider state association logos and is trying to get NCAA conferences. Mentioned the ACC and SEC as conferences he would be outfitting going forward. I know he does not have Texas HS stuff (TASO) and he also said Georgia was being difficult, but other states were already on board.

They did the same for me last fall. Sent my shins and CP in for a little work. I shipped them on a Monday...they had them back to my door that same Friday. Great service. Fast. love the plastic buckles they put on the shin guards.

Original Wilson WV 13.5†Protector (WTA3209) - This is the original WV that Wilson made. It is new w/tags. It is not the current 3209, but the older one with the original WV graphics. Would be a great protector to use or have as a collectors item. There are some minor scratches on the service of the plates from storage, but this has not been worn in a game. SOLD 3. All-Star System 7 CP 15" (L) (CPU 4000) + Extra set New of CP padding Gear was used for about ½ of a season +/- 20 plate games. Gear is in good condition. Delta-Flex on the CPU is brand new and never worn. About a ½ to ¼ inch was removed from the neck area of the chest plate. It allowed for a little freer neck movement….I am one of those big/short necked people and stock this protector does not work well for people with a large neck. I will also include a brand new set of replacement pads for the CPU. SOLD 4. Double Knee Shin Guards 17" (S) (LGU 2000)- The shin guards show a little rust on the on the buckles, but are in good shape. 5. Wilson WV Gold (L/XL)- Older model with the late WV on the chest. I love the Brinkman scalper brush that I have. Have the same one I bought over 15 years ago and it still works. I have several of the newer black ones and they are not as great. They seem to last me about 2 or 3 games before they break where they are snapped together. I wish they would go back to the old style.
