  1. Congratulations! Enjoy the moment!!!!
  2. Yes, but Cervelli has been around long enough to know you don't show the PU up...which is what he did when he got in his face. He could have had a "discussion" with AP without having to stand up and turn around. I'm beginning to categorize Cervelli into the same group as AJ...
  3. Would have loved to have seen AP step back and point and say the to Bucs bench, "You're gonna need a new catcher."
  4. Love these short documentaries!
  5. Here are some pics @johnnyg08 ...
  6. BU's call all day, every day.
  7. Hey, the shirt (or lack thereof...) may be a bit extreme, but look at that head height, will ya!
  8. I've already asked Jeff to move it. Thanks.
  9. I was given a pair of brand new Honig's Polywool base pants at Doane's camp in February. I recently took them out of the bag to get pressed at my preferred dry cleaners. Upon picking them up, the owner informs me that whoever put the silicone seam bead in the back of the pants put the seam in an incorrect location. So, after having been pressed, I now have two creases on the back of the pants...one from the iron and one from the silicone bead. When I asked the dry cleaner if it could be removed he said it's a very difficult process and could ruin the pants. My question for the group is does anyone know if this silicone bead CAN be removed, and if so, how?
  10. Just because Pitch 6 above was "incorrectly called", that doesn't give him the right to throw his equipment AND a temper tantrum. Nor does it give him the right to bump, not simply "touched" Mr. Loney, Nauert.
  11. Great move by Cederstrom! That's what a veteran Crew Chief does!!!
  12. Atta boy, James!
  13. It's amazing that the offending team's announcers don't think their player(s) do anything wrong when they're ejected. I hope Loney's wallet is a little less full after comments like this. You're right, Jeff. He's a contemptuous douche.
  14. I've said this all along! The umpires don't get to pick up the phone and call NY to ask was it fair or foul, catch or no catch, safe or out. Why is the proverbial playing field not level?? The umpires have only "real-time" to make the call...and only one angle to see it. Managers should be held to the same criteria/limitations. Rich, you're dead on!
  15. True, but some have better instincts than others. I know a former pro guy who worked MLB Spring Training who was released because, in his words, "my baseball instincts weren't as good as they need to be."
  16. TOTALLY AGREE! I've said that all along. They need to cover the complete game. Not just the players perspective. If they had a "resident" umpire, it would increase the average fan's, and the damn MLB Network analyst's, baseball rules knowledge 10-fold.
  17. I noticed that too, Maven. I have to believe it's instinctive. It's amazing how good these guys are.
  18. I totally agree. I think it's difficult doing what I do at the levels I work. I can only imagine what it's like at that level!
  19. Here's my question... At the MLB level, should Randazzo have come in a kill it right away as he clearly saw that ball hit the bat a second time. I'm guessing so. Otherwise, why would Davis have asked him, "and you didn't call foul at the time. But, you got foul now?"
  20. No, you wouldn't have an out. He was still in the box. Foul Ball.
