  1. Stop, you're both right. The 1099-K threshold is $20,000. The 1099-MISC and NE threshold is $2,000. Both of these are for 2026 and were changed due to the One Big Beautiful Bill. Most independent contractors would get the NEC version.
  2. These guys weren't being squeezed. I noted Porter doing it for every batter.
  3. The NWS (National Weather Service) specifies the same as NFHS: See lightning or hear thunder, go to safe place for 30 minutes - repeat as necessary. If NWS specifies it, I'm doing it. I can only imagine the lawsuit if an umpire or local rule runs counter to NWS recommendation.
  4. The P who put the runners on base owns the runs.
  5. South Jersey one man MS $84. Our fee schedule doesn't show a rate for one man varsity or JV, but I know in 2021 we did have some JV one man games. I believe the fee was 1.5 the normal for two man JV: So, $63 x 1.5 = $94/95.
  6. Looks like the rules cited by elares apply only by local league adoption and for regular season only. https://www.littleleague.org/playing-rules/rule-changes/
  7. Guest guest: Re Senor Azul's BRD quotes being contradictory. They are not. Note the difference between correcting the count before the next pitch versus after the next pitch. The former is correctable per Rumble; the latter not correctable per Hopkins.
  8. I would not be disappointed if ZebraWeb disappeared... It looks/feels like an application from the early 2000s.
  9. From NJSIAA, 12/11: Baseball and softball pitchers and catchers may begin practicing on Friday, March 26, 2021. Team practices for all sports will begin on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Competition will start on Monday, April 19, 2021, and the season will end on Sunday, June 20, 2021. NJSIAA post-season will start Tuesday, June 1, 2021, and conclude Sunday, June 20, 2021; however teams not participating in the post-season may continue to play regular season games through the end of the season, as long as they do not exceed the maximum number of regular season games permitted.
  10. Not to belabor a thread that's gone astray, but: This was ball four. The runner stealing second and possibly being thrown out is irrelevant unless the catcher's throw went awry and the runners could advance further than 1B/2B. In that case I agree with the above cites that unless the batter's action was intentional...
  11. For NFHS per 2-5-1.b this would be a fair ball: "A fair ball is a batted ball which: b. contacts fair ground on or beyond an imaginary line between first and third base."
  12. +1 for all black shoes +1 for charcoal pants BB/SB I cleaned my NB base shoes by tossing them in the washer, then air dry. Came out like new. I'd suggest only a few times a season. Haven't tried and wouldn't recommend for NB plate shoes.
  13. Use the National Weather Service as your rationale for any level not covered by rule (like Little League or NFHS): 30 minutes (guessing that's where LL/HS get their rule). I'm not having a fried player or coach on my conscience - or my bank account.
  14. Today: NJ (NJSIAA) "doubled-down on its stance of a desire to play spring sports in some capacity this season — even if that meant extending the season — though it acknowledged that obstacles could ultimately prevent pushing the season beyond June." https://www.nj.com/highschoolsports/2020/04/njsiaa-is-discussing-extending-the-hs-sports-season-if-thats-what-is-required.html
  15. AdBlock (they're different apps, but very similar - and free) also works.
