Our JV baseball team has 12 players, all 12 are in the batting order. If the 4th batter has to leave and does not return. When their turn comes up in the batting order, do you have to count them as an out? We do have a sub for the field, but they are already in the batter order.

I interpet "JV" to mean FED (HS) rules. HS rules do NOT allow batting the entire order. So, you're not playing by the official HS rules -- you'll have to ask your local rules organization
