Warnings and Ejections

Has anybody read the book titled Warnings and Ejections that is for sale on referee.com? I'm looking to take on more leadership in my HS group and want to know if this is a good teaching tool.

I have it and have only skimmed through it (though I have had it for over a year.) Seems like a good book.

Very quick and easy read. 85 pages. Mostly the takeaway from this book is the it isn't only what you say but how you say it.

It's mostly about attitude, language and body language.  All basic game management and how to get along with people while not getting walked on.  It's a good read, and has some great tips.  Sadly, those among us that could get the most benefit from it won't bother to read it, because they already know-it-all.

Although not a baseball/umpire book, I'd recommend reading "verbal judo". Pretty much everything in the book is relatable to umpiring.

Also a fan of "How to win friends, and influence people" by Dale Carnegie.  Not all of it pertainsto umpires. But a lot of it can.

As for ol Tim_C. It is probably on here somewhere. It gets reposted every time this topic comes up.
