Question

Batter-runner hits a pop up about 50 up the 1st base line. The F3 races in and dives in an attempt to make the catch, but fails to get a glove on it as it hits fair and makes a 80 degree turn and hits the batter-runner just inside the foul line and goes into foul territory. If it doesn't hit the B-R, it goes foul, so no other fielder would have had a play on the ball. What's the ruling.

Occupied at TOP. Probably what you meant; just trying to clarify for the younger or more sensitive viewers.
