Reds F2 knew that was ball 4 and made absolutely no effort to frame it. Oh well. I've missed worse pitches (but like Jerry called them strikes!).

From the 1st base dugout camera angle I am seeing it at the front knee in slow motion. I can't place where the plate is from that view, but Ross looks like he is back in the box. I'm getting that one most of the time especially at the lower level ball I see.

"Time to get your money's worth"

I was at the game in RF bleachers. I think Maddon got run for 2 reasons:

1) He started chirping, at least louder, when Ross walked towards HP. He was deflecting from his C (one C is already in playing LF, so would've made bench short). Ross later turned around on a similar pitch while catching. I was surprised he wasn't tossed from the game.

2) We were down 4-0 in pretty brutal fashion (Billy Hamilton walked, stole 2nd, and scored on a WP when Lackey didn't cover home and Hamilton was thinking to score the whole way from 2nd) and it seemed to get the team and fans back in the game.

I thought the pitch looked better from where I was at. Guy behind us said at least 3x during the game that Ross should just miss a pitch and let it hit the ump. He was getting on my nerves the whole game. Idiot full of hot takes.

He wanted to show him his purdy bat.

You can see the red pen by Ross' hand, in case anyone didn't see the pocket.
