Here is a cool video about Todd Tichenor, and what it's like to be a big league umpire...

Thanks for posting.

Great stuff, did you notice the crew getting ready to call a game in Majordave's stormtrooper gear at the 2:35 mark? Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

Two interesting things, the fact of being 2 hours before the first pitch and his Riddell Power with TW retrofit

Two hours before is pretty standard practice for pro ball. Especially in cities with really bad traffic. That Power is just nasty, but that Nike with Belgards may be even cooler.

It's interesting, however...

The person making this is extremely inexperienced with cameras, didn't actually care, or was just really bad. They've apparently never heard of pods, the audio was not equalized right, the interviews were from low angles or from straight on angles while the interviewee was not flush with the lens, there was no extra light, the camera person was WAY too close to Todd, didn't like focusing on something long enough for anybody to see it, and let Todd wear a hat in the interview.

But I mean, it wasn't a bad concept. Except that we've all heard that stuff before. (The only person who would get anything from it would be a fan or player that didn't understand umpiring and was curious.)

Kind of looked like a story done by a local tv station without a huge budget.  It'll be ok.  Get your coffee.

there were a lot of things that could have been fixed with no money though.
