10U game.  Disputed tag call at 3rd base for 3rd out.  HC working as 3BC disputes tag and tells player to stay on the ground in the position that he was when he slid in.  How would you handle this?

Runner is out! What does he think - instant replay in New York? This is a judgment call and is not open to be disputed.

If he is asking, then tell him what you saw and play on. If he persists - warn, then eject. Don't penalize the kid for his actions.

A very firm warning about arguing a judgment call, perhaps even letting him know how close to the edge he is, having nearly made a mockery of the game. I think that ranks up there with a batter drawing a line with his bat!

"He's still out." [Jog to RF.]

Now they're burning their pitcher's warmup time.

absolutely!...........after the call, I'm off to my position in the outfield leaving him and his prone runner there at 3rd....he will get the idea...eventually

10U...if the kid is still laying there when you get turned around in short-right...dump the coach that told him to do that.

Two year olds throw tantrums...10 year olds play ball.   If the coach can't act like he is at least 10, he can't stay!

Agreed.

Turn around and leave them both there in their respective positions without an audience.

Exactly. What he said.
