I start training new umpires next week, and decided to machine wash some of my older polywools in the gentle cycle to get my bag ready. Somehow, a pen got included, and you can guess the rest.

Perhaps, the nice lady at my dry cleaners can save them. That'll teach me, though. I dry clean my newer ones, and machine wash my older ones. Or, I used to machine wash......

What kind of pen? Ball point or gel?

Hair spray will get it out. Put some paper towels under the stain, soak with hairspray, blot with another paper towel and keep doing this until the stain is gone.

Toothpaste mixed with powder detergent or baking soda also works.

For any of these kinds of things I highly recommend looking on pinterest. I've picked up all kinds of useful tricks that work on there.
