Heres a couple

SECTION 3 BENCH AND FIELD CONDUCT

ART. 1 . . . A coach, player, substitute, attendant or other bench personnel shall not:

a. leave the dugout during a live ball for an unauthorized purpose;

h. enter the area behind the catcher while the opposing pitcher and catcher are in their positions;

j. be outside the designated dugout (bench) or bullpen area if not a batter, runner, on-deck batter, in the

coach's box or one of the nine players on defense;

For your league - this one,

10-4. BENCH AND FIELD CONDUCT

c) Use word, act or noisemakers to incite or try to incite spectators to demonstration, or use profanity or remarks which reflect upon opposing player, umpire, or spectator.

*3.3.1 SITUATION W:

Team A has one of its players in uniform in the bleachers behind home plate or in the bleachers along the third-base line.

RULING: All players, attendants and bench personnel shall remain in the dugout (bench) or bullpen at all times, unless they are a batter, runner, on-deck batter, an occupant of a coach's box or one of the nine players on defense. The umpire shall eject the offender from the game, unless the offense is judged to be of a minor nature, in which case the umpire may warn the offender and then eject him if he repeats the offense. Failure to comply shall result in the game being forfeited.

Thank you for posting this.  I'm assuming this is in the MLB rules.  Is there a link to where it is in the rule book?  I would like to be able to show it to the umpire in charge of our league.  None of our umpires seem to know this rule.  An opposing coach did this against our team and when my husband (the coach) questioned it, all the umpires said they had never heard of it.

If I ever look behind me to see if anyone from a team's coaching staff is there, I am missing what's behind me and that is the field.  I'm personally not good enough to worry about the field and the activity in the stands.  I usually don't concern myself with where they park themselves unless they decide that they want my attention.  If a coach is behind me in the stands and starts to chirp, I show no mercy and send them packing right away.  If I happen to notice that they are behind me then go back in the dugout and they start to chirp at me (especially about the zone); I show no mercy and send them packing.  If it's an AC who is telling the HC about my zone and one or both of them starts to complain, I show no mercy and toss anybody and everybody who is involved.  It's unsportsmanlike, they know better than that crap, and they know what they are doing when they do it.

When they do something unsportsmanlike like this and it was premeditated by doing something else that they shouldn't have been doing anyways, then strike first, strike hard, no mercy, Cobra Kai!!!

It's also a loophole if the coach wasn't addressing or mingling with the spectators and if he wasn't sitting in the stands, and lots of youth coaches don't wear uniforms, .... ;)
