It is true! The only ejections you regret are the ones you do not make!

I was working the bases on a 2-man Pitching machine game. :shakehead:

It was a tournament Semi final and Championship games.

First Game- Went fairly well. One team is obviously better than the other Team is about to reach the mercy rule. Winning head coach still complaining about every close call against him. But nothing terrible. Just a loud mouth. Partner made an INT call call against his team. HC and 2 Ass. Coaches gang up on partner. Partner didn't take care of business. So I went up and told them they all better get back in the dug out. They did. I told HC not to ever gang up on an Umpire. Game ends.

Championship game.- This team that won easily is getting their butts kicked and the HC is coming out on every single call that goes against him. Whether is close or not. 3rd inning  force play at second. Ground ball to F6 who throws to F4 but F4 is clearly off the base. I call safe, off the bag. So there comes the HC and Ass. coach yelling and screaming. I immediately tossed the ass. coach. And tell HC to head back to dugout and I turn and head to the outfield. HC starts going to partner yelling that he want to appeal the play. Partner tell him that it is my call. HC doesn't understand. At that moment the Siren goes off and we have a lightning delay. During the delay he still want to argue. Me and my partner are talking and the HC jumps right between us bumping me in the process. I gently with my hand moved the coach out of the way. Then he made some big scene like I hit him and fell to the ground. Now all the parents are in an uproar.

Tournament director comes in and asks me to leave the field. HC gets to stay.

Lesson learned. Eject Early before it gets out of hand.

And to think, I would have probably been there if my wife hadn't wrecked her car on Friday.   :banghead:  :BD:  :censored:   :FIRE: A lot of those coaches were d-bags, complaining about every little call.

Found out after I left the team that was giving us he'll came back to win the game after I left. Idiots.
