Ask yourself this question: Is the ball still in flight?

It is not its caught, by am unmaned glove though

Is it?

The implied task that was given to you was to look up the definition of "in flight" and "catch."

Although if his hand was amputated and stayed in the glove...I'm giving him the out.  That's good hustle right there!

Detached Equipment!!! :smachhead:  :stir  :FIRE:

That only matters if the fielder deliberately threw the glove at and hit the ball. Not the case here.
