Looks like Honigs really changed their CBUA discount this year.

Not only is it $10 instead of $20 but it now also requires a minimum $50 purchase.

Any reason behind that?

Probably because $20 off of a $25 order means taking a loss. At $50, there's a chance the $10 will still make a profit.

This is not the CBUA discount.. it is the discount for signing up on the arbiter site..... CBUA member get 10%

Then I think I lost $100 my first year I didn't join CBUA, but paid $100 directly to the NCAA, didn't get the honigs GC.

Agreed. This is the NCAA discount for signing up with Arbiter. I seem to remember it was a heck of a lot better deal before...

Either way it went down because it used to be just a $20 gift certificate and we got 10% off for being CBUA members.  Now it's the $10 off with $50 purchase.

You also get the 10% of at Honigs if you are an ABUA paid member or a NASO member (which I am). The gift certificate is not near the deal it was last year. Basically just covers shipping. Would have been nice if it had been received when most of registered in the fall. That way we could have used it back when Honig's was offering free shipping.

Yeah, bought my NB package from them last year for 31.20 - 20.00 = 11.20. Not a good deal for them.

Yep. Used mine yesterday. Got a long sleeve jersey and a hat. Basically canceled out my shipping. At least it could be combined with my NASO discount.
